“As a soon to be first time mom, I was clueless and had a lot of anxiety about birth. I now find myself much more prepared and even EXCITED to endure all of it. Emmy is very knowledgeable and reassuring. She had answers for all of our questions and her energy was contagious. Highly recommend her childbirth class!”

“My husband and I were lucky enough to schedule our Childbirth Education course with Emmy. This is our first baby so childbirth is brand new territory for us! Emmy did a wonderful job navigating how to best deliver such important information in a joyful yet practical manner. Her passion for the entire birthing process shined throughout the class which left my husband and I excited, humbled and calm about the upcoming birth. She has so much experience, personally and professionally, which contributes to the depth and value of the class. I would recommend taking Emmy's class to anyone at any stage of their pregnancy looking to feel grounded, prepared and excited for birth!”

We had originally planned a midwife, water birth, at home; that didn't work out as we moved and couldn't locate a midwife available for us! After attending Emmy's course, we feel so much more prepared for a natural birth in a hospital. This will be our 3rd child, but our first natural. We had many fears due to today's hospital experiences with Covid and all; but Emmy was able to put us at ease, help us build a birth plan, help us understand what we can do and bring at the hospital (which we had no clue of with our other two births). She provided us with a hospital bag list, that we took full advantage of gathering the items and feel confident in what we are bringing will prepare us for a successful birth and postpartum experience! The breastfeeding course was also extremely helpful as I've had two very upsetting breastfeeding journeys and now feel that this one will be much more successful. We learned more in two days of 3 hour courses than we did with either of our previous deliveries and experiences.

We are so thankful for Emmy and her continued assistance after the course! We cannot imagine someone better to be informing expectant parents of this information!”

Doula

CD, CPD

Assisting in bringing babies earthside is the greatest job I've ever had. As a massage therapist for 20 years, I am a very hands on doula. Helping my laboring mamas and their partners be active participants in their own birth is a passion. A confident and educated laboring mom is an empowered advocate for their own birth.

Childbirth Educator

CBE

I realized that the more my laboring mama was educated in her childbirth, the more confident she was and the smoother things went. So, I decided to get certified in Childbirth Education and teach my clients my own version of childbirth education geared toward natural childbirth and things you can do to help your birth go intervention free. I have also witnessed high risk inductions, VBACs, and transfers where the mom is bullied from the second they step foot in the hospital. So, my course will also teach you and your partner how to advocate for your birth plan, natural alternatives to unnecessary intervention, and common mistakes to avoid in labor.

Breastfeeding Counselor

CBC

That initial latch is so important so I make sure all my mamas get comfortable with breastfeeding right after birth. If you had a difficult birth, c section, were separated from your baby, baby had a tongue tie/lip tie, and you are having trouble latching or producing, I can help with you in your breastfeeding journey. I'm here to help you from latching, pumping, weening, and all the "touched out" counseling in between. I want every mother to have the breastfeeding journey she desires with the validation and encouragement she needs.
